Playing the harder side of Summer- the often hidden barriers parents can face

Right now, 1 in 4 children in the UK live in poverty because too many families are struggling to make ends meet. During the Summer school holidays families who rely on free school meals will be left struggling. Barnardo's are here to help and it was an honour to be cast as 'Liam's Mum' in this online commercial to support this campaign.

As an Actor putting yourself in the shoes of your character and telling the truth of their story is ultimately what you're trying to acheive.

This character was a single parent working two jobs to make ends meet and whilst giving her all, she still felt is she was falling short.

An honour to meet genuine Barnardo's staff who do this amazing work

The character 'Liam' was played by the incredible Ralph Falkingham who was a whirlwind, extremely talented and a real joy to play opposite.
